Making a decision to seek help is a crucial first step—but it’s only the beginning!
ABOUT ME
Seeking out a new therapist and starting therapy can be an intimidating process. I aim to be as transparent and collaborative as possible to help clients take charge of their treatment.
I specialize in treating individuals who suffer from chronic, persistent depression or other mood disturbance, and find themselves using substance abuse or other unhealthy behaviors to manage their symptoms.
In a collaborative process, I help my clients uncover what is maintaining those unhealthy behavior patterns and learn new skills to cope.
My approach is practical, flexible, and results-oriented. For some, progress ultimately requires addressing underlying issues related to self-worth, family of origin, and developmental trauma. My emphasis, always, is helping clients turn insights into actions. I believe therapy can be an effective tool in making concrete, lasting positive changes in a client’s quality of life. I’m here to help you every step of the way.
My therapeutic style is strongly influenced by my training in cognitive behavioral therapy, and I also incorporate mindfulness and narrative-based techniques. I am highly attuned towards helping clients get in touch with their
individual strengths and applying those strengths toward therapeutic goals.
It is my privilege to be a collaborator and guide for my clients on their journey towards healing and fulfillment.
I now offer online sessions via a secure, confidential videoconference!
